Vajra Tibetan Arts is based in the beautiful and scenic Santa Cruz Mountains, overlooking the Monterey Bay. The owner, Reid Wilburn has almost 20 years of experience trekking and traveling throughout the greater Himalaya Range, while making lifelong lasting connections with the wonderful people of the Himalaya.

While he was initially attracted to the spiritual and social aspects of this rich culture, with a background in visual arts, he soon found his eyes turning to the lavish and opulent artistic traditions of the people of the Himalaya and the Tibetan Plateau. As with so many people who are familiar with Tibetan art, it was the beauty and mystery of thankas (Tibetan painted scrolls) that provided Reid's entry level initiation. Over the years, his passion has grown to embrace many other aspects of the visual arts of this region, including stone work, metal work, textiles, pottery, and of course the amazing and so unique carpentry and woodwork, which are most easily accessed through architecture and furniture.

It is this passion for the arts of this region that Vajra Tibetan Arts is here to bring to you. We can provide you with one or more special and totally unique pieces, whether you are beautifying your home, creating your own personal sanctuary, or looking for a piece to support your personal dharma practice.
